How does the informal review process work?
Most California counties let you request an informal review directly with the assessor's office — no formal appeal needed. In fully-supported counties, the Filing Guide includes the exact steps; everywhere else in California, the Appeal Evidence Kit includes a ready-to-send request letter and submission packet.
